Assembling Complete Sets
Every hobby has subsets of collectors who focus on one aspect of the pastime. For some toy train collectors, the mission is to acquire the most pristine condition pieces they can find. Other areas of concentration include operating the trains, restoring the condition and building detailed layouts.
Then there are the collectors who try to re-create complete sets that were split up many years ago. The Contents Envelopes and what was originally inside them can be among the most challenging parts to find. Pictured here is a Contents Envelope that came with sets featuring either the No. 44 or 45 Missile Firing Locomotives. There are four small while missiles inside.
